Huguangyan is the world's largest, most typical and best-preserved Maar Lake. It is called the "natural yearbook" for studying the earth and geological sciences by United Nations geological experts. The scenic area is mainly composed of crater lakes and volcanic lava. It has beautiful scenery, four seasons like spring, elegant environment, and the landscape is characterized by "rare, ancient and strange". It is a famous volcanic ecological tourism area in my country.

Attractions distribution:

Huguangyan is located 18 kilometers southwest of Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. It was formed by multiple flatland volcanic eruptions 140,000 to 160,000 years ago. It is the largest, most typical and best-preserved Maar Lake in the world. It is called the "Natural Yearbook" for studying the earth and geological sciences by United Nations geological experts. It is a famous volcanic ecological tourism area in my country.
The core area of the scenic area is 13.6 square kilometers, and the lake area is 2.3 square kilometers. It is mainly composed of crater lakes and volcanic lava. It has beautiful scenery, spring-like weather all year round, and elegant environment. The landscape is characterized by "rare, ancient, and strange". It has extremely high value in scientific research, tourism, medical care, and ecological health.

Zhanjiang One-Day Tour: Huguangyan → Subtropical Botanical Garden → Sika Deer Park

Enter Huguangyan for a visit at around 9 am and have lunch at Huguangyan around 12 noon. Afterwards, go to the South Asian Tropical Botanical Garden to drink coffee, enjoy flowers and pick fruits, which is called "after-meal coffee and fruit". Spend about 2 hours here, then go to the Sika Deer Park to watch the deer, feed the deer, or buy some deer products, and then return to the city.



Zhanjiang 2-day tour: Naozhou Island → Donghai Island → Huguangyan

On the first day, we will depart from the city at 8:00 am, and go to the Southeast Pier via Donghai Island (about 1 hour by car, about 2 hours by bus). At the Southeast Pier, we will take a ferry (separate ferry for people and cars), and cross the sea to reach Naozhou Town in 20 minutes. On the island, you can travel around the island from the west, north, east, and south, and see the cliffs and rocks, the flying waves, the boundless sky and sea, the Naozhou Lighthouse, the abalone and shrimp farming, the busy fishing port, the Song Dynasty relics, and visit the fishing village. At noon, we will have seafood at a small restaurant in the town, and return at around 3:00 pm. At around 4:00 pm, we will arrive at the Donghai Island Tourist Area, find a good place to stay, put away the luggage, drink enough water or beverages, and then change into swimsuits to go to the beach, or swim and play in the waves, or pick up shells along the beach, or do other recreational and sports activities. After dinner, we will have barbecue and fun on the beach until late at night.

The next day, get up early to watch the sunrise over the sea, or take a morning swim in the sea. After that, have breakfast (the best is the porridge and fried noodles cooked with shrimps and crabs), leave for Huguangyan at 9 o'clock, have lunch at Maar Lake Restaurant, and after lunch, go to the subtropical botanical garden to enjoy the greenery, pick fruits, and drink coffee, and then return to the city.

Adult: 50 yuan/person

College students and retirees: 25 yuan/person

Primary and secondary school students (including technical secondary schools and high schools), children over 1.2 meters tall: 15 yuan/person

People holding senior citizen discount cards, seniors over 70 years old, retired people, disabled people, children under 1.2 meters, and active military personnel stationed in the city: free

Annual pass: 50 yuan/person, valid for three years, cardholders can enter the scenic spot unlimited times during the validity period

Electric boat: 30 yuan/boat/30 minutes for 2 people, 60 yuan/boat/30 minutes for 4-5 people, 80 yuan/boat/30 minutes for 6 people

Electric cars and eco-friendly trains for a tour around the lake (7 kilometers in total): 15 yuan per person per circle for adults, 8 yuan per person per circle for children between 1.2 meters and 1.5 meters; tourist bicycles for a tour around the lake are 10 yuan per vehicle per hour.
