Qiyun Mountain Scenic Area, formerly known as Baiyue, faces Huangshan from the north to the south. It was named after its highest peak, Langya, which "is a stone piercing the sky and is level with the clouds". The scenery is famous for its strange mountains, beautiful waters, weird rocks and secluded caves. It is known as "Huangshan and Baiyue are the best in the south of the Yangtze River". Qiyun Mountain Scenic Area, located about 15 kilometers west of Xiuning County, Anhui Province, was called Baiyue in ancient times. It faces Huangshan from north to south. It is named after the highest peak, Langya, which is "a stone piercing the sky and level with the clouds". It is a mountain scenic area featuring Taoist culture and Danxia landform. The scenic area covers an area of 110 square kilometers and is famous for its strange mountains, beautiful waters, strange rocks and secluded caves. How to get there:
Self-driving: You can drive from Shanghai via Hangzhou, Lin'an, Changhua, and Yulingguan, or you can directly reach Qiyun Mountain.
By car: It takes 1 hour to reach the gate of the scenic area from Tunxi Bus Station; there are multiple buses to Qiyun Mountain from Huangshan Bus Station every day, and the ticket is 6 yuan; take a minibus from Huangshan City to Yi County or Qimen County, which runs every few minutes and costs a few yuan to get to the gate of Qiyun Mountain. It is a few minutes' walk to the cable car station.
