Qiyun Mountain Scenic Area, formerly known as Baiyue, faces Huangshan from the north to the south. It was named after its highest peak, Langya, which "is a stone piercing the sky and is level with the clouds". The scenery is famous for its strange mountains, beautiful waters, weird rocks and secluded caves. It is known as "Huangshan and Baiyue are the best in the south of the Yangtze River". Emperor Qianlong called it "the unparalleled scenic spot in the world and the most famous mountain in the south of the Yangtze River".

Qiyun Mountain Scenic Area, located about 15 kilometers west of Xiuning County, Anhui Province, was called Baiyue in ancient times. It faces Huangshan from north to south. The scenic area covers an area of 110 square kilometers and is famous for its strange mountains, beautiful waters, strange rocks and secluded caves.
