Wuhan East Lake Birdsong Forest is the only theme park in Hubei Province that integrates bird viewing, bird domestication and breeding, popular science education, rescue and treatment. The park is located beside the beautiful East Lake. It is large in scale and has a variety of bird species. The East Lake Bird Forest covers an area of 30 acres. The artificial net cage built in 1998 provides an area of 18,000 square meters for bird activities. The birds raised are collected from all over the world, covering 200 species in seven categories and 13 subjects. There are more than 8,000 birds of extremely rare ornamental value, including more than 20 species of birds under national first- and second-level protection, including red-crowned cranes, green peacocks, white storks, white pheasants, golden pheasants, golden eagles, black eagles, etc. It also includes foreign macaws, black swans, flamingos, etc. The garden design not only pursues the ecological environment of birds, but also pursues the exquisite art of gardening.
