Scenic spot introduction:

The Danxia landform in Zhangye is treacherous, elegant and picturesque. It is one of the six most beautiful strange landforms in China. The Danxia landform here developed from the Pre-Jurassic to the Tertiary period about 2 million years ago. It is mainly distributed in the mountainous and hilly areas of Linze and Sunan counties in Zhangye City, Gansu Province, covering an area of more than 300 square kilometers. It has strange shapes, colorful and magnificent momentum. It is one of the areas with the largest and best developed Danxia landform and the richest landform shapes in China.

Attractions distribution:

The Zhangye Danxia landform area covers an area of about 410 square kilometers, of which the colorful hills cover an area of about 40 square kilometers. The Danxia landform in this area is mainly composed of red gravel, sandstone and mudstone, which are distributed along the banks of the Liyuan River and its tributaries (ditches) in a continuous area, divided into two major groups in the north and south, with the Zhangye Oasis Basin in the middle, echoing each other from a distance, forming a horn-like trend. North Group The terrain is relatively flat, mainly monocline ridges, and is known for its clear mountain texture and veins; South Group It is famous for its cross-bedding, steep walls, vertical joints and colorful colors.
