Guqi Garden is the first of the five classical gardens in Shanghai. It is one of the oldest scenic spots in Shanghai and one of the famous gardens in the south of the Yangtze River. It is famous for its five major features: lush green bamboo, quiet winding water, elegant Ming Dynasty architecture, timeless couplets and poems, and beautiful flower and stone paths. Guqi Garden is located in Nanxiang Town, Jiading District, Shanghai, covering an area of 146 acres. Yiye Hall , Goose Pond , Songhe Garden , Qingqing Garden , Mandarin Duck Lake , Nanxiang Wall 6 scenic spots. Guqi Garden was originally named Yi Garden and was built during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566). It was named after the meaning of "green bamboo". It was rebuilt in 1746 and renamed Guqi Garden. There are dozens of precious bamboo species in the garden, as well as authentic works of famous artists such as Dong Qichang and Zhu Zhishan, which attract people to explore the ancient and beautiful.
