The Suzhou Museum is famous for its collection of cultural relics unearthed from archaeological sites over the years, Ming and Qing calligraphy and paintings, and handicrafts. It is a comprehensive local history and art museum in Suzhou and the center for cultural relic collection, research, display, and education in Suzhou. The old and new buildings of the museum also have their own unique styles and are quite interesting.

Attractions distribution:

The museum is divided into old building and new building. The old palace is the palace of Li Xiucheng, the loyal king of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. It is the most complete Taiping Heavenly Kingdom palace building preserved to this day. The new museum building complex faces south and is divided into three parts: the central part, namely the entrance, hall and museum garden; the western exhibition area; and the eastern modern art gallery, educational facilities, tea service and administrative functions. The museum has more than 10,000 pieces in its collection, including the "Scroll of Bush Xiao", the Guang Kiln Brown Color Star Statue, the Pearl Relic Building, and the Colored Paintings of Prince Zhong's Mansion, etc., which are all treasures of the museum.

Suzhou Museum ticket price:

It is free, and free admission tickets are issued at different times every day (except for special exhibitions); or visitors can log on to the official website of the museum and make an online reservation.

Scenic area opening hours:

Every Tuesday to Sunday 9:00-17:00 (no entry at 16:00), closed every Monday (except national statutory holidays).

The film and television hall on the first floor of the basement regularly presents wonderful short films such as "Suzhou Museum Collection", "Taiping Rebellion Prince Zhong's Mansion", "I.M. Pei and the New Suzhou Museum", and "Yan Yu Subo" every day. Playing time is: 9:15-10:15, 11:00-12:00, 13:15-14:15, 15:5-16:15.
