The China Railway Museum is a professional science and technology museum in China's railway system and the only national-level professional museum for railways. Its predecessor was the Science and Technology Museum of the Ministry of Railways. It was established in 1978 and was renamed the China Railway Museum in 2003. Its main task is to be responsible for railway cultural relics. Collection, storage, display, display, editing and research of scientific research results and other exhibits. At the same time, it serves as a base for patriotic publicity and education and science popularization education. The China Railway Museum has three branches: Zhengyangmen Branch, Dongjiao Branch, and Zhan Tianyou Memorial Hall.

The main attractions of the Zhengyangmen Pavilion include the China Rocket model, railway ticket printing machine, Tsinghua Park Railway Station, Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway station clock, DSA380 single-arm pantograph, simulation cabin experience driving, Qinghai-Tibet Railway sandbox, Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway sandbox etc.; the main highlights of the Eastern Suburb Pavilion include the No. 0 steam locomotive, the Zhu De and Mao Zedong steam engines, the KF1-006 locomotive, etc.; the Zhan Tianyou Memorial Hall introduces Zhan Tianyou in three parts, including studying, serving the country, and remembering.

How to get there:

Zhengyangmen Pavilion: Take bus No. 7, 8, 9, 20, 22, 44, 301, 673, 692, 803 or take Metro Line 2 and get off at Qianmen Station.

Dongjiao Pavilion: Take bus No. 402, 418, 688, 973, or 851 to Nangao Township Government Station and get off and go west. When you see the T-shaped intersection, turn left and go south for 500 meters.

Zhan Tianyou Memorial Hall: Take bus 919 at Deshengmen and get off at Badaling Station or take a train at Beijing North Railway Station and get off at Badaling Station and walk there.

Tickets

Railway Museum ticket prices:

Tickets are 20 yuan, with discounts for groups and half price for students. Separate tickets for the Zhengyangmen Pavilion simulation cabin driving experience: 20 yuan/ticket, and 10 yuan for the 3D theater. There is also a 40 yuan pass.

Scenic area opening hours:

Zhengyangmen Pavilion: 9:00-17:00 every Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays), Dongjiao Pavilion: 9:00-16:00 every Tuesday to Sunday (closed on Mondays), Zhan Tianyou Memorial Hall: 8:30 - 16:30, open on holidays.
