Tibet Yak Museum It is the world's first national museum with yaks as its theme. It is also a public cultural institution that preserves yak cultural evidence, spreads yak cultural knowledge, and explores the interdependent relationship between yaks and human development. The museum is based on the "yak spirit" of "honesty, loyalty, compassion, tenacity, bravery, and dedication" and uses yaks as a carrier to display the history and culture of the Tibetan people. It plays an important role in collection, preservation, display, scientific research, and education. It is the first modern museum in the Tibet Autonomous Region.

Tibet Yak Museum Located at No. 6 Chagu Avenue, Liuwu New District, the indoor and outdoor exhibition area totals 10,000 square meters. Among them, the indoor exhibition hall is divided into Thank you Yak , Exploring the Mystery of Yaks , Accompanying Yaks , Lingmei Yak Four sections, thousands of collections, including Yak specimen , Yak Skeleton , Yak head fossil , yak leather suitcases, yak Tibetan carpets, Cowhide armor , Yak pack saddle and the yak-themed Art work etc., showing the relationship between yaks and Tibetan culture.

How to get there:

Directions: After getting off the train at Lhasa Station, it is located to the east. Take bus No. 1, 13, 14 or 30 and get off at the train station.

Self-driving route: Take the Airport Expressway and Liuwu Bridge, turn into Century Avenue, and drive to Lhasa Railway Station.
