The Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution is the only large-scale comprehensive military history museum in China. It covers an area of ​​more than 80,000 square meters, with a construction area of ​​more than 60,000 square meters and a display area of ​​more than 40,000 square meters. The main building is 94.7 meters high, with 7 floors in the center and 4 floors on both sides. The round tower at the top of the building holds the 6-meter-diameter gold-plated "August 1st" military emblem and medal of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. It towers high in the sky and sparkles with gold. The 4.9-meter-high bronze gate was cast from artillery shell casings sent by troops participating in the war on the Fujian front line. Above the main entrance hangs a huge gold-lettered and copper-plated plaque "Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution" inscribed by Mao Zedong himself.
