Since its establishment, Gansu Provincial Museum has acquired more than 82,000 historical relics through archaeological excavations, collections and donations, including more than 3,000 exquisite historical relics, 16 national treasures and more than 720 first-class national relics. In 2006, the new exhibition building of Gansu Provincial Museum was completed and opened. The building area of the new exhibition building is 28,000 square meters, of which the collection warehouse area is 7,600 square meters and the exhibition hall area is about 9,000 square meters. The exhibition in the museum is based on the characteristics and advantages of Gansu cultural relics, and is presented to the public as " Gansu Painted Pottery "," Silk Road Civilization in Gansu "," Gansu paleontological fossils ”Three permanent theme exhibitions.
