The Shanghai Jinshanwei Anti-Japanese War Site Memorial Park is located at the site where the Japanese invaders landed in Shanghai. It is another major Anti-Japanese War Site Memorial Park after the Songhu Anti-Japanese War Memorial Park in Shanghai. It is also an important part of the Songhu Anti-Japanese War Site. Jinshanwei is located on the north bank of Hangzhou Bay. It has been an important military town resisting foreign invasion since ancient times. During the "August 13" Songhu Battle, Jinshan Guard was an important position of the Chinese army. On November 5, 1937, the Japanese army made a sneak attack and landed here. More than 300 Jinshanwei coastal defenders rose up to resist. In the end, only 28 people broke through, and the rest all died heroically for their country. After the Japanese troops landed, they burned and killed 2,933 people in Jinshan County and burned down more than 26,000 houses. Today, the completion of the memorial park is not only a memory of the deceased, but also a remembrance of history.
