The Shanghai World Expo Park is the venue for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo. The 2010 Shanghai World Expo is the first time that China has held the Expo, and it is the largest in the history of the World Expo. The total investment exceeds that of the Beijing Olympics, covers an area of 5.28 square kilometers, with 246 participating countries and organizations, 73.08 million visitors, and 22,900 events. The park is located on the beautiful Huangpu River, in the waterfront area between the Lupu Bridge and the Nanpu Bridge, connecting Puxi and Pudong, and cleverly captures the Expo theme of "Better City, Better Life".Attractions distribution:
The World Expo Park is located between the Nanpu Bridge and the Lupu Bridge, and is laid out along both sides of the Huangpu River in Shanghai. The park covers an area of 5.4 square kilometers and has five major venue groups, namely the independent pavilion group, the joint pavilion group, the corporate pavilion group, the theme pavilion group and the China pavilion group. According to the region, the World Expo Park is divided into five functional areas: A, B, C, D, and E. Among them, the three functional areas A, B, and C are distributed in the Pudong area, and the two functional areas D and E are distributed in the Puxi area. Area A of the World Expo Park is mainly arranged with some Asian country pavilions and other venues. Area B of the World Expo Park is mainly arranged with the World Theme Pavilion, some Asian country pavilions, Oceania country pavilions, international organization pavilions and other venues. Area C of the World Expo Park is mainly arranged with European, American, and African country pavilions and other venues. Area D of the World Expo Park is mainly arranged with venues such as the City Footprint Pavilion and the Corporate Pavilion. Area E of the World Expo Park is mainly arranged with venues such as the City Future Pavilion, the Corporate Pavilion and the Urban Best Practices Area. After the World Expo, one axis and four pavilions were retained.
