Scenic spot introduction:

The Ming City Wall Ruins Park is located in the city center. It starts from the southeast corner tower of the city in the east and ends at Chongwen Gate in the west. The total area is about 15.5 hectares, of which the city wall ruins and the southeast corner tower occupy 3.3 hectares, and the green space area is 12.2 hectares. Historically, the Ming City Wall is 40 kilometers long and was built in the 17th year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty (1419 AD). It has a history of more than 580 years. The existing city wall ruins from Chongwen Gate to the southeast corner tower of the city are 1.5 kilometers long. It is the only remaining section and is also a symbol of Beijing.

The Ming city wall ruins from Dongbianmen to Chongwenmen are one of the only two Ming city walls remaining in Beijing. The ancient and magnificent city wall ruins are 1.5 kilometers long. Standing under the incomplete and mottled blue-grey ancient city wall, you will feel the weight and vicissitudes of history. The main attractions include the southeast turret, Ming city wall, piers and platforms, Beijing-Fenghuang Railway Signal Station, and the Sophora japonica under the Ming city wall. The ancient trees are towering and beautiful.
