Beijing Ditan Park Travel Guide

Scenic spot introduction:
The altar of earth was a place where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshiped the "imperial god of earth". It is also the largest existing altar of earth worship in my country. Built in the ninth year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (AD 1530), the Temple of Earth is the second largest altar among the five altars in the ancient capital of Beijing, also known as the Fangze Altar. The entire building, from the whole to its parts, is conceived and designed in accordance with ancient Chinese traditions and symbolic legends such as "the sky is round and the earth is round", "the sky is blue and the earth is yellow", "the sky is south and the earth is north", "dragon and phoenix", and "the universe". It is simple, dignified and unique. In addition to traditional architecture and landscaping, Ditan Park is most famous for its annual Spring Festival Temple Fair, which is one of the most popular temple fairs in Beijing. Each temple fair has a different cultural theme, relying on the style of the ancient altar, focusing on ethnic, folk, and folk custom characteristics, and fully exploring the cultural connotation of traditional temple fairs. It is the best place for citizens to relax, entertain, experience culture, and feel the flavor of the New Year. .
