Scenic spot introduction:
Xitou Forest Park is the most representative natural scenic spot in Taiwan and one of the seven forestry areas of the Experimental Forest of the College of Agriculture of National Taiwan University. It is named after the source of Beishi River. The park has majestic mountains and a quiet environment. Various precious tree species such as ginkgo, red cypress, and cypress are planted in the forest farm covering an area of nearly 2,500 hectares. Visitors here can enjoy the natural scenery and listen to the singing of hundreds of birds. It is an ideal place for leisure, sightseeing, and quiet rest.Attractions distribution:

1. The scenic area has PARKING LOT , parking fee is 100 yuan/day.
2. It is prohibited to bring dogs, cats and other mammal pets into the scenic area.
3. The scenic area is equipped with electric vehicles for mobility commuters, which are given priority for the elderly, women, children and people with physical disabilities. Reservations must be made by phone 3 days in advance.
4. Visitor Service Center, Forest Ecology Exhibition Center There are water dispensers on the first floor of the Xitou Forestry District Office and other places to provide free hot water for visitors.
Tour route:
1. University Pool Line (about three kilometers in total) Service Center → Garden Area → Bamboo House →(Forest Road)→ University Pool →( Trails ) → Old Gate
2. Ginkgo Forest Line (about 4 kilometers in total) Service Center → Garden Area → Nursery → Ginkgo Forest →( Trails )→ Bamboo House →Old gate
3. sacred tree Line (about 5.5 kilometers in total) Service Center → Garden Area → Along the Stream Trails → sacred tree → Bamboo House →Old gate

The scenic area has a specialty store department, University Pool Sales Department and Shopping Street , specializing in selling Dongding Oolong, Camellia sasanqua, and various books (bamboo, birds , common plants in Xitou, etc.), specialties, commodities, cold drinks, etc.

Self-driving route:
Northern region → Get off the expressway at Zhushan Interchange, head towards Zhushan (not into the city), turn onto Route 151 via Lugu → Xitou;
Southern Region → Exit the highway at Douliu Interchange and take Provincial Highway 3A via Linnei to Zhushan and then turn to Provincial Highway 151 to Lugu → Xitou.

Xitou Forest Park Ticket Price:
1 Full ticket: NT$200 on holidays, NT$160 on non-holidays. Applicable to the general public.
2 Discounted tickets: 150 yuan on holidays, 120 yuan on weekdays. Applicable to students with ID cards, military and police officers, and groups of more than 30 people with full tickets.
3. Half-price ticket: NT$100 on holidays, NT$80 on weekdays. Applicable to elementary school students with a height of 115 cm or above.
4 Special discount tickets: NT$10 on holidays and NT$10 on non-holidays. Applicable to children under 115cm tall, seniors over 65 years old, and physically and mentally disabled people and their accompanying person.
5 Free tickets: Those who go to the Nature Education Park for official business and hold supporting documents; those who have been approved by the Office to go to the Nature Education Park for teaching practice, experimental investigation, or special research; residents of Lugu Township and Zhushan Township (with national ID cards), and those who serve in the public agencies of the two townships (with service certificates), and teachers and students of all levels of schools in the two townships who are approved by the Office to hold teaching visits; faculty and students of National Taiwan University (with faculty and staff certificates and student ID cards).
