Scenic spot introduction:

Guangzhou Huanghuagang Park is a memorial park built to commemorate the martyrs who died in the "March 29" Uprising in Guangzhou during the Xinhai Revolution.

Attractions distribution:

Huanghuagang Park is located on Xianlie Middle Road, at the southern foot of Baiyun Mountain, north of Guangzhou city. It was built in 1912 and now covers an area of about 130,000 square meters. The main entrance archway is engraved with the inscription " Noble Spirit Lives Forever ", the main road in the park is lined with green pines and cypresses, and on the hills are placed Tomb of the Seventy-two Martyrs , behind the tomb Memorial Hall The Statue of Liberty stands on it. It has been rated as one of the eight scenic spots in Guangzhou, "The Great Spirit of Yellow Flowers", and one of the top ten scenic spots in Guangzhou, "The Light of Xinhai". It is a patriotism education base at the municipal, provincial and Chinese Overseas Chinese Federation levels.
On April 27, 1911 (the 29th day of the third lunar month in 1911), the uprising led and organized by the Tongmenghui led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in Guangzhou failed. Pan Dawei, a member of the Tongmenghui, risked his life to collect the scattered remains of 72 martyrs and buried them in Honghuagang (later renamed "Huanghuagang"), known in history as the "72 Martyrs of Huanghuagang".
