Scenic spot introduction:

Xuefeng Park in Suqian City is a memorial park built to commemorate the anti-Japanese national heroes represented by General Peng Xuefeng. The park covers an area of 320 acres and is centered on the Xuefeng Memorial Hall at the highest point of the park. It includes four major functions: memorial viewing, waterscape tours, inspirational education and supporting services. It is a large urban park that integrates memorial viewing, patriotism education, national defense education, leisure tourism and other functions. It is also the largest patriotism education base in Suqian City.

General Peng Xuefeng was an outstanding commander and military strategist of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army and the New Fourth Army. He devoted himself to the revolution for 20 years, fought bravely, fought in battles from north to south, and was both wise and brave. He was praised by Mao Zedong and Zhu De as "a good example of a Communist". After the Southern Anhui Incident in 1941, Peng Xuefeng served as the commander and political commissar of the Fourth Division of the New Fourth Army, leading the army and civilians in the base area to fight hard against the Japanese puppet troops and the Kuomintang diehards. He won the victory of the Huaibei anti-"mopping up" campaign in the winter of 1942 and the Shanzitou Campaign in March 1943, consolidating and developing the Huaibei Anti-Japanese Base Area. In August 1944, Peng Xuefeng implemented the instructions of the CPC Central Committee on marching into the enemy's rear in Henan, commanded his troops to carry out the westward campaign, and was unfortunately hit by a stray bullet and died on September 11 while commanding the battle in Balizhuang, Xiayi, Henan. He was 37 years old at the time and was the highest-ranking general of the New Fourth Army who died in the War of Resistance Against Japan.
