Luohan Temple is located in the center of Chongqing, just minutes away from Chaotianmen and the pier. The scenery inside the temple is quiet and bright, with Mingbei Pavilion, Ancient Buddha Rock, Arhat Hall, Maitreya Pavilion, Main Hall, Sutra Building, Abbot's Room, and Zen Hall buildings in sequence. There are a total of 524 statues in Luohan Hall, all of which are clay statues, which are very spectacular. There are more than 400 rock-carved Buddha statues from the Song Dynasty preserved in the ancient Buddha Rock. The style is very close to the Dazu Baoding Mountain stone carvings. Religious activities are held every first and fifteenth day of the lunar calendar and Buddhist festivals.
On the eighth day of the twelfth lunar month, the day when Sakyamuni became enlightened, you can taste the famous and unique Laba porridge of Luohan Temple. Eat three bowls in a row to avoid three disasters. After dinner, you can walk around the temple and appreciate the inscriptions, plaques, couplets, and the inscriptions of celebrities from past dynasties.

How to get there:
Bus route: Take No. 112 Outer Ring, No. 132, No. 153, No. 262, No. 401, No. 418, No. 424, No. 476, No. 0491 Night Shift, No. 0493 No. Shift, and get off at Xiaoshizi Commodity Station. Take Rail Transit Line 1 and get off at Xiaoshizi Station, then exit from Exit 1 or 4A.
Self-driving route: take Linjiang Road → Luohan Temple Street in the city, and take Huanghuayuan Bridge/Yangtze River Bridge → Linjiang Road → Luohan Temple Street in the surrounding areas.
