Scenic spot introduction:
Wuta Temple is famous for its Vajra Throne Pagoda, which is the earliest Vajra Throne Pagoda in China. The Five Pagoda Temple was built in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty. In the early years of Yongle, the Indian eminent monk Bandi came to China and presented five gold Buddha statues and diamond thrones to Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty. Chengzu made him a national teacher and built a temple for him. The original name was Zhenjue. The temple was renamed "Zhengjue Temple" during the Qing Dynasty to avoid the taboo of Emperor Yongzheng Yinzhen. There are five pagodas in the temple, which are the size of a Vajra throne and built on a high platform. The five pagodas represent the five Buddhas in the five directions and are commonly known as the Five Pagoda Temple. Wuta Temple is now also the location of Beijing Stone Carving Art Museum. It is located at 24, Wuta Temple Village, Xizhimen, Haidian District, with a quiet environment.Attractions distribution:
