Luoyang Longma Negatu Temple Travel Guide

Scenic spot introduction:

The Longma Negative Picture Temple is the place of worship for Fuxi, the founder of Chinese humanities. It is also the discovery place of the "River Picture" in the Heluo culture and the birthplace of the Chinese Yixue culture. The ancient temple is located in Leihe Village, Huimeng Town, Mengjin County, Henan Province. It was built in the middle of the Meng River and has a long history of more than 1,600 years.

Longma Negatu Temple was built in the fourth year of Yonghe reign of Emperor Mu of Jin Dynasty (AD 348). It was originally named "Futu Temple", but was changed to "Hetu Temple" during Yongjia period. It was renamed "Longma Temple" during Emperor Wu of Liang Dynasty. It was renamed "Xingguo Temple" in 1999. It was still called "Negative Tu Temple" in the 42nd year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty. It was renamed "Xihuang Temple" in the 19th year of Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty. It was also called "Negative Tu Temple" after the Republic of China. Longma Negatu Temple faces the Yellow River to the north, Mang Mountain to the south, and is close to the old road of the Tu River. Due to many wars and repeated construction and destruction, the restored temple now has a three-entry courtyard structure: the first entrance is the mountain gate and the Drum and Bell Tower, and the east and west gates are separated. There are two huge monuments leading to the "Old Road of Tuhe" and "The Place where the Dragon and Horse Negate the Picture". The second entrance is the three halls of Fuxi Hall, Wenwang Hall and Kongsheng Temple. The third entrance is the main hall - Sanhuang Hall. In addition to the ancient temple buildings, the "Tuhe" in the temple Stone carvings such as "Old Way", "Ancient River Picture", "One Painting Opens the Sky", "Yuanyuan" and dragon and horse statues are also very precious.
