Scenic spot introduction:

The Da Baoen Temple of Jinling was once known as one of the three major temples in Jinling together with the Linggu Temple and the Tianjie Temple. The glazed tower in the temple was listed as one of the 48 scenic spots in Jinling. Early Western missionaries who came to China called it one of the "Seven Wonders of the World" in the Middle Ages along with the Hagia Sophia Mosque in Turkey, the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, and the Mausoleum of Alexandria in Egypt.

The Great Baoen Temple is located in the ancient Changganli in the south of Nanjing. Legend has it that it was built by Emperor Yongle (Zhu Di) of the Ming Dynasty to commemorate his mother, Consort Shuo (a Korean), who died tragically. During the heyday of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Great Baoen Temple governed two secondary temples and fourteen medium temples in the south of the city, covering an area of "nine miles and thirteen steps". The main buildings in the Great Baoen Temple are: Glass Pagoda , Shuofei Palace The unearthed relics include Glass components , Buddha skull relic wait.
