Dabei Temple is the only Buddhist monastery in Tianjin. It is the largest and oldest Buddhist monastery in Tianjin. It is named after the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. Dabei Temple, also known as Dabei Temple, is located in the northeast of the middle section of Tianwei Road, Hebei District, Tianjin. It was built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties and flourished in the eighth year of Emperor Kangxi's reign. It covered an area of 56 mu at its peak. After many changes, it was destroyed and rebuilt, and only the West Courtyard remains, which is relatively small in size.
