Gammelstad Church Village (Swedish: Gammelstads kyrkstad) is a well-preserved unique church town in Scandinavia, Northern Europe. It is located in the northernmost part of the Gulf of Bothnia, near Luleå in Norrbotten County, Sweden. The 424 wooden houses in the village surround a church built in the early 15th century. Stone Church The houses are only used by believers from surrounding villages and those who cannot return home on the same day due to travel conditions on Sundays and religious festivals.
