Travel guide to Yang Yangong's former residence in Tongnan County

Yang Angong (1898-1927), also known by his given name Shangshu, Shangda, and his courtesy name An, was a pioneer of the Chinese Communist movement, the main founder of the Sichuan Communist Party and League organizations, and the main leader of the Great Revolution. He was unfortunately arrested after the "March 31 Massacre" in 1927. Facing the enticement and torture of the warlords, he remained steadfast and unyielding, suffered torture, and died heroically. Yang Angong's former residence was built in the sixth year of the Tongzhi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1868) and was restored to its original appearance in 1992. It is located in Shuangjiang Ancient Town, 10 kilometers northwest of Tongnan County, Chongqing.

Yang Angong's former residence is a typical small green-tiled building with a hanging roof and is one of the best-preserved Qing Dynasty buildings in Southwest China. The old residence has a construction area of 1,100 square meters, with 39 houses of various sizes, in a two-entry, three-story quadrangle-style layout, which is simple and elegant.
