Chengyang Eight Villages is the largest Dong village with thousands of households among the Sanjiang Dong villages. The ancient village has a long history and colorful ethnic culture. It also has the world's largest and most well-preserved Yongji Wind and Rain Bridge. It can be said to be a typical epitome of the Southern Dong group.

Chengyang Eight Villages is located 20 kilometers north of Guyi Town, the county seat, and is the most famous Dong village in Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County. Chengyang Dong Village was formed in the Qing Dynasty and consists of eight natural villages, including Ma'an, Pingzhai, Yanzhai, Chengyang Dazhai, Pingpu, and Guandong, covering an area of 12.55 square kilometers, where more than 2,000 Dong compatriots live. Each of the eight villages in Chengyang has its own village gate. Drum Tower There are wind and rain bridges, wooden stilt houses lined up one after another, terraced fields in front of and behind the village, green grass, and ancient water wheels in groups, forming a beautiful scenery that perfectly combines nature and man.
