The Guoliangdong wall-mounted highway in Henan is known as the "Father of the Taihang Tunnel". It is the earliest of only six wall-mounted highways in my country. It is also one of the ten most dangerous roads in the world and one of the 18 most peculiar roads in the world. On the precipitous cliffs of Wanxianshan Mountain, this cliff promenade, which was entirely hand-made by the villagers of Guoliang Village, can be called a human miracle. Almost all the people who come here exclaim about it. It is hard to imagine that this road is 20 years old. It was built in the 1970s. Climbing Guoliang Cave, people stand in the canyon as if they possess special skills. Words such as spectacular and shocking are not enough to describe it. Guoliangdong wall-hanging highway is located in Guoliang Village, Shayao Township, Hui County, hanging on a cliff 1,700 meters above sea level. This tunnel road is 1,700 meters long. Intermittent caves with side openings are carved into the cliff. Next to it is a straight cliff crack canyon more than 100 meters deep. How to get there:
Bus route: First take a train or long-distance bus to Xinxiang, then take a minibus to Huixian at the long-distance bus station. After getting off, take a minibus or a minibus to Guoliangdong. It takes about 2 hours in total. Tourists who take a minibus to Guoliang should try to get on the bus early in the morning, otherwise the vehicle conditions are not very good and they have to stand all the way.
Self-driving route: Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway/G4 National Highway exit from Qixian/S222 and turn onto Yunmeng Avenue, pass G107 toward Miaokou and turn into S305, passing Kongyu Village, Nanzhai Town, and Shayao Township Just go to Guoliang Village in Wanxian Mountain.
