The former residence of Liu Bocheng in Kaixian County, Chongqing is the residence where Liu Bocheng, Marshal of the People's Republic of China, founder and leader of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and modern military strategist, lived for 14 years. It is an ideal place to commemorate the great man and carry out patriotism education. On December 4, 1892, Liu Bocheng was born in the Liu family yard of Zhangjiaba, Zhoudu Village, Zhaojia Town, Kaixian County. When he was 5 years old, he separated from his parents and moved to Shenjiawan, a back slope more than 100 meters away from his old house, where he lived until 1911. He left home from here and joined the army to join the Revolution of 1911. The former residence of Liu Bocheng now houses a large number of cultural relics used by Liu Shuai and his family. Through the original display and supplemented by pictures and materials, it shows Liu Bocheng's growth trajectory of working hard and studying hard when he was young, and determined to "save the people from water and fire". Bus route: Take the long-distance bus to Kaixian at Chaotianmen or Caiyuanba Long-distance Bus Station, the fare is 83 yuan, and the journey takes about 3 hours. Take a bus from Kaixian to the former residence, which takes about 40 minutes and costs 5 yuan.
Self-driving route: via Yu-Wan Expressway to Wanzhouxia, then to Liu Bocheng’s former residence in Zhaojia Town, Kaixian County, a 3.5-hour drive.
