Jilin Dabusu National Nature Reserve mainly protects geological relics, paleontological relics, wetland ecosystems and rare birds. It is the only scenic spot in China that mainly focuses on submerged geological landforms and wetland ecosystems. The geological geology of Dabusu's mud forest has crisscrossing ravines, undulating mountains, and continuous peaks, with different shapes and impressive momentum. At the same time, rare and complete tiger skull fossils, hyena skull fossils, primitive cattle, mammoths, woolly rhinoceros, etc. were also unearthed here, which play a vital role in the study of ancient animals and paleoecology.

Dabusu National Nature Reserve is located in the Langyaba area in the southwest of Qian'an County, with a total area of ​​11,000 hectares. The area has natural resources such as Dabusu Lake, meadows, swamps, salt-alkali flats, and cultivated land, as well as a China Qian'an Mud Forest Museum, which houses more than 100 vertebrate fossils, bird specimens, insect specimens, and folklore exhibits. Visitors can enjoy bird watching by boating, reed marsh exploration, mud exploration, enjoying fountains, artesian springs, the wonders of Langya Dam, sunset mud forest, exploring deep valleys, tracing ancient vertical burial groups, and visiting fossil sites.
