Shibaozhai is one of the few remaining wooden structures in China. It is famous for its unique architecture and many interesting legends and is known as the "Pearl on the River". Shibaozhai Scenic Area is located in Zhong County, Chongqing, beside a huge rock with a height of more than ten feet and a steep cliff. It is said that this stone was left by Nuwa to mend the sky, so it is called "Shibao". Because it looks like a jade seal, it is also called "Yuyin Mountain". Shibaozhai was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty when Tan Hong started the uprising.
