Scenic spot introduction:
Nanjing Zhenghe Bao Shipyard Heritage Park is the largest ancient shipyard site for wooden ship building in the world and the only remaining medieval royal shipyard site in the world. This is the construction and departure place of the treasure ship that Zheng He took to sail to the West in the early Ming Dynasty. In the early Ming Dynasty, the Bao Shipyard was unparalleled in the world in terms of its large scale, the number of treasure ships it built, the size of its ships, and its superb shipbuilding technology. Ming Dynasty Chengzu used his huge financial resources to gather outstanding craftsmen from all over the country to open a shipbuilding factory. More than 20,000 officials, craftsmen, and logistics workers gathered here. Seven shipyards were built at the same time, creating a shipyard in just fourteen months. The sixty-four large ships were praised by Sun Yat-sen as China's extraordinary move ahead of its time. The park was built by Nanjing City to commemorate the 600th anniversary of Zheng He's voyages to the West. It integrates tourism, commemoration, exhibitions, and leisure, allowing today's people to appreciate the glorious history of Bao Shipyard.Attractions distribution:
