The Harbin People's Musician Zheng Lucheng Memorial Hall was built in memory of Zheng Lucheng, the "father of military songs". Zheng Lucheng (1914.8.13 - 1976.12.7), formerly known as Zheng Bo'en, was born in Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, North Korea (now South Korea). He is another outstanding outstanding composer in modern Chinese history after Nie Er and Xian Xinghai, and a leader in the Chinese proletarian revolution. A pioneer in the music industry. In 1933, he came to Nanjing, China, to join the Korean Anti-Japanese Revolutionary Organization "Yiyue Tuan" and began a life of revolution while studying music. In 1939, Zheng Lucheng became famous when he composed "Ode to Yan'an". The "March of the Eighth Route Army" composed at the same time was renamed "Military Song of the Chinese People's Liberation Army" and has been sung to this day.
