Scenic spot introduction:

Hebei Xiaowutai Mountain National Nature Reserve is located in Yu County and Zhuolu County in the Zhangjiakou region in northwest Hebei Province. Xiaowutai Mountain runs northeast to southwest, is about 45 kilometers long, and covers an area of ​​1,800 square kilometers. Because it has five peaks in the east, west, south, north and middle, it is commonly known as Wutai Mountain; and because it is lower than Mount Wutai, it is also called Little Wutai Mountain. Dongtai is the highest, with an altitude of 2882 meters, making it one of the highest peaks in North China. It borders Mentougou District of Beijing City and Laishui County of Baoding District to the east. The nature reserve is a forest wildlife nature reserve. The main protected objects are natural coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forests, subalpine shrubs, meadows, and the national first-level protected animal brown-eared pheasant.

1. Bus route:

Take the train to Xiahuayuan Station, and then charter a bus there.

2. Self-driving route:

Zhangjiakou City → Jiefang Road → Wuyi East Street → Zhangcheng Expressway → Beijing-Tibet Expressway → G110 → X455 → Capital Ring Expressway → G109 → S241 → Xiaowutai Mountain National Nature Reserve.
