The Nanweng River Scenic Area in Heilongjiang preserves a complete original forest wetland ecosystem. It is the largest forest wetland nature reserve in Northeast China and the only nature reserve of the inland wetland ecosystem type in cold temperate waters in my country. The Nanweng River mainly protects forest wetlands and their biodiversity and the source of the Nenjiang River, and its island forest wetlands are unique in the country.
