Scenic spot introduction:

Saishang Old Street is one of the four old streets in the old city of Hohhot. It has the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties and is known as the condensed image of old Hohhot. The old street is close to the famous Lama Temple - Dazhao Temple, which was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. There is a cross street on the west side of the gate with an archway, which is called Saishang Old Street.

Saishang Old Street is located near Dazhao Temple on Danan Street in Hohhot City, with a total length of 380 meters. Its architecture fully reflects the characteristics of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Nowadays, the old street has been renovated. Most of the shops along the street are small brick and wood buildings with Ming and Qing styles. They mainly sell tourist souvenirs, ethnic handicrafts, ethnic supplies, and daily necessities. The tourist souvenir and ethnic handicraft store mainly sells various handicrafts with Mongolian culture, Mongolian dairy products, beef and mutton products, antique calligraphy and paintings, jade coins, etc. The ethnic products store sells various Mongolian leather products, such as leather wine bottles, leather hangings, leather paintings, etc.

How to get there:

1. Bus route:

Take No. 38, No. 6, No. 42 or No. 58, get off at Dazhao Station and walk to Saishang Old Street.

2. Self-driving route:

Drive along Da Nan Street for 250 meters, turn right into Xinsheng Street, turn left into Dazhao Xijia Road, pass Alataan Khan Square on the right, and turn right Enter Saishang Old Street.
