Honglincuo in the Qing Dynasty of Fujian is currently the largest and best-preserved single-building ancient residence in China. It has always been an important commercial and cultural center in central Fujian. This ancient residence has exquisite hanging flowers, brackets, door and window lattice patterns, and carved beams and painted pillars above the halls and corridors. The shape is vivid, and the pattern is extremely particular. It is a model of ancient architecture. Honglincuo is located on the bank of Yanxi River in the south of Bandong Plain. There are two ancient buildings, Honglincuo and Silexuan. Honglin House is divided into front and back, with two horizontal streets in the middle and two rows of horizontal houses on the left and right, separated by 36 wind and fire walls. It has 35 large and small halls, 30 patios, 25 flower gardens, and 666 rooms. There are four buildings in Silexuan, including 13 gates, screen doors and back hall doors. How to get there:
Bus route: Take a long-distance bus in the city to Minqing Hutou Passenger Transport Station, then walk or take a taxi to the entrance of the scenic spot.
Self-driving route: Leave Fuyin Expressway at Jinsha Exit at Wotou No. 1 Bridge, and drive along Jinfeng Road → S202 → X127 to near the State Taxation Bureau in Bandong Town.
