The Hung Shing Temple in Wan Chai is one of the temples that offers the annual Waking of Insects and Killing of Villains event. Believers of Hong Sheng go to the ancient temple to pray for blessings on the first and fifteenth day of the lunar calendar and the birthday of Guanyin.
