Jianchuan Jianhu Scenic Area is dominated by lake scenery with exceptionally clean water and sweet taste. It is a shining pearl on the northwest Yunnan plateau. Jianhu Lake is known as the "Mirror of the Plateau" because of its pollution-free nature. The Bai villages built around the lake and the golden peaks shining in the sun in the distance together form a beautiful scenery that every visitor can't help but be intoxicated by. Jianhu Lake is located in the southeast of Jianchuan County, with a water area of about 8 square kilometers. The scenic spot consists of two areas: Jianhu Lake and Jinhua Mountain. Jianhu Lake has a quiet water and is surrounded by traditional Dali residential buildings and simple fishermen. Jinhua Mountain has stone carvings, stone Buddhas, temples, stone pagodas and other landscapes. Every year on June 15th of the lunar calendar, it is the meeting period around the sea. Villagers in each village are celebrating a festival, starting from their own village and walking around Jianhu Lake. Along the way, the young people sang and danced, while the older people talked about the past and present. They gave each other tea and candies as they passed through the villages and communicated with each other about their feelings.
Jinhua Mountain Pilgrimage: Spring Festival, "Laojun Meeting" on the 15th day of the second lunar month, "Northern Dipper Meeting" on the first day of June, and "Northern Dipper Meeting" on the first day of September.
