Qutan Temple is famous in the northwest for its majestic simplicity, precious cultural relics and huge colorful murals with high artistic value. It is revered as a Buddhist holy place by Tibetan, Mongolian, Tu and other ethnic groups who believe in Tibetan Buddhism. The temples are well-proportioned and magnificent. They are a group of antique Ming Dynasty buildings. At the same time, it is also one of the most famous flower festival areas in Qinghai Province. Whether it is pilgrims who are worshiping, or tourists who are admiring flowers or visiting, there is an endless stream of people all year round.Attractions distribution:
Qutan Temple is located at the entrance of Maquangou, 21 kilometers south of Ledu County, Qinghai Province. It consists of three courtyards: front, middle and back. On the central axis starting from the mountain gate, there are large palace-style buildings such as King Kong Hall, Qutan Hall, Baoguang Hall, and Longguo Hall. On both sides are the Imperial Stele Pavilion, the Dharma Protector Hall, the Wall Gallery, the left and right small sutra halls, and four Zhensha pagoda, large and small bell and drum towers. The Flower Fair hosted by Qutan Temple is usually held from the 14th to the 16th day of the sixth lunar month every year and lasts for three days. It is an annual event in the local area. The participants were mainly Tibetan and Han people from Nanshan, Ledu, as well as Tu people from Huangzhong and Minhe, Hui people from Ledu and Hualong, and singers from other ethnic groups who came all the way from Linxia, Gansu and other places.

How to get there:
Self-driving route: Starting from Xining, drive along the Beijing-Tibet Expressway and exit from Ledu/G109; you can reach it via Cultural Street → Lehua Road.
Bus route: Take the long-distance bus to Ledu at Xining Bus Station (opposite the train station), and then transfer to the shuttle bus to Qutan Temple.
