Lijiang Baoshan Stone City is a truly dangerous city and a masterpiece of Naxi giant stone carving art. This is the earliest residence of the Naxi ancestors in Lijiang. For thousands of years, no army has ever conquered it with force. The industrious and brave Naxi people have lived on such a stone for thousands of years. Some people even built their houses on the stone and chiseled the stones in the house into various daily necessities according to its shape. There are endless wonders. When you come here, there is no hustle and bustle, and you can feel the rich and simple original Naxi style and the most beautiful scenery of nature.

It is located in the Jinsha River Canyon 110 kilometers north of Lijiang City. It is surrounded by cliffs on three sides and a stone slope plunges directly into the Jinsha River. There are only two stone gates in the north and south for entry and exit. The village is lined with tiled houses and criss-crossing lanes. The houses built out of the rock follow the rock formations, which is an ingenious workmanship. Stone beds, stone pillows, stone tables, stone benches, and stone stoves are all breathtaking, and you can also appreciate the simple folk customs and peaceful life.
