Lu'an Nanyue Mountain-Foziling Reservoir Scenic Area integrates mountains, waters, forests and other natural scenery as well as historical and cultural monuments. It is an excellent mountaineering and leisure resort in the suburbs of Lu'an. In this vast area, you can see the handwritings of Mao Zedong and Guo Moruo, taste authentic farm food while sightseeing, breathe the freshest air, and appreciate the most charming scenery. Many historical stories and famous battles in Huoshan also took place here, making it a classic red tourist route.

Attractions distribution:

Nanyue Mountain and Foziling Reservoir are located 2.5 kilometers south and 17 kilometers south of Huoshan respectively, and are divided into two parts, Nanyue Mountain and Foziling. The reservoir has a spectacular dam, wide water surface and celebrity handwritings. Visitors can take a speedboat ride. Nanyue Mountain highlights the cultural landscape. Dozens of scenic spots and relics such as Nanyue Temple, Hongyuan Square, Martyrs Monument and Sculptures, Song Yin Pavilion, Buyun Pavilion, etc. are dazzling. The newly completed Anhui Red Area Central Memorial Garden plays a finishing touch on the important history of the Hubei-Henan-Anhui Revolutionary Base Area.

How to get there:

Bus route: Take a long-distance bus at Lu'an Bus Station to Huoshan Chengguan, and then change to a bus to the reservoir; or take a bus directly to Foziling Town and then take a taxi.

Self-driving route: Ji-Guang Expressway leaves from the Huoshan/Shucheng exit and drives along S318 → X070 to reach the reservoir; Ji-Guang Expressway leaves from the Shiguan/Huangwei exit and drives along X084 → X090 , you can reach Nanyue Mountain.
