Mianyang Luofu Mountain Baishui Lake Scenic Area, one area is known as "Little Western Heaven" and "Jiabashu", and the other area has the largest wildlife paradise in northwest Sichuan. Luofu Mountain and Baishui Lake are both located in Anxian County, west of Mianyang, 42 kilometers and 68 kilometers away from Mianyang respectively. Luofu Mountain has more than 80 landscapes including Twelve Wonderful Peaks, the Feiming Temple, an ancient temple in the Tang Dynasty, the "Qiang King City", an ancient battlefield where the Qiang people fought with the Ming Dynasty, and many caves, rocks, and springs. Baishui Lake is dominated by a broad and quiet lake landscape with dense forests and 23 small islands scattered throughout the lake. How to get there:
Bus route: Take a bus from Chengdu Zhaojue Temple Bus Station to Mianyang, then transfer to buses to Baishui Lake or Hot Spring City to go to various scenic spots.
Self-driving route:
1. Luofu Mountain: Take Yongan Road → S105 in the direction of Mianyang; take the Mian (double-track) Expressway in the direction of Chengdu, exit Mianzhu/Xiaode/S1, and follow De Mao Road → S105, heading towards Sangzao Town.
2. Baishui Lake: Take Yong'an Road → Liao'an Road → Dunxiu Road in the direction of Mianyang; take the Mian (double-track) Expressway in the direction of Chengdu, exit Mianzhu/Xiaode/S1, and follow Demao Road → S105 → Cross the Mianyuan River Bridge and drive towards Jushui Town.
