Ningbo Baoguo Temple is one of the oldest existing wooden structures in China and the most complete preserved Northern Song Dynasty wooden structure in Jiangnan. It is known as "the unique one in Jiangnan". Baoguo Temple is located on the hillside of Lingshan Mountain in Jiangbei District, Ningbo City. It covers an area of ​​13,280 square meters. The temples in the temple are ancient and simple, and the gardens are full of green trees and flowers. It is a rare tourist park with a perfect blend of culture and ecology.

Baoguo Temple was first built in the Eastern Han Dynasty. According to legend, Zhang Qifang, the son of the Hussar General Zhang Yi during the reign of Emperor Guangwu of the Eastern Han Dynasty, abandoned his official position and lived in seclusion here. There was originally a "Lingshan Temple" on the mountain, also called the "Temple of the Hussar General Zhang". Huichang of the Tang Dynasty The temple was destroyed in the fifth year and rebuilt in the first year of Guangming (880). Emperor Xizong and Li Xuan gave it a plaque with the name "Baoguo Temple" and it was later renamed Baoguo Temple.
Baoguo Temple is famous for its architecture. It is a collection of buildings from the Han Dynasty (Huqi Well), Tang Dynasty (Jingzhuang), Song Dynasty (Wuliang Hall), Ming Dynasty (Yingxun Tower), Qing Dynasty (Tianwang Hall, Guanyin Hall, Bell Tower). , Drum Tower), the Republic of China (Sutra Collection Tower) and other ancient building complexes, covering an area of ​​20,000 square meters, the buildings are magnificent and the internal collections are extremely rich. The 73-hectare Lingshan Scenic Area outside Baoguo Temple is located on the banks of the beautiful Cijiang River and the mysterious Linglong Spring. There are more than ten scenic spots such as Linglong Spring, Diejin Terrace, Qingyi Pavilion, and Xianren Bridge.
