Hangzhou Leifeng Pagoda It is the iconic landscape of West Lake. "Leifeng Sunset" has been named one of the ten scenic spots of West Lake since ancient times. Leifeng Pagoda The two towers are located in the north and south of the Beishan Pagoda, facing each other across the lake. They are known as "Leifeng is like an old monk, Baochu is like a beauty". The West Lake also presents the beautiful scenery of "one lake reflecting two towers, facing each other from north to south". Every time the sun sets, the shadows of the towers are across the sky, creating a unique scene. Of course, many people know Leifeng Pagoda because of the TV series "The Legend of the New White Snake". In the Han folk story "The Legend of the White Snake", the monk Fahai tricked Xu Xian to Jinshan Mountain, and the White Snake flooded Jinshan Mountain to save Xu Xian, and was suppressed by Fahai. Leifeng Pagoda Located in front of Jingci Temple at the foot of Rihui Peak on Nanping Mountain on the south bank of West Lake, it is also known as Huangfei Pagoda or Xiguan Brick Pagoda. The original pagoda was built during the Wuyue period. In 1924, the old pagoda collapsed due to the invasion of Japanese pirates who hollowed out the bricks at the bottom of the pagoda. In 2000, the foundation of the new pagoda was re-laid. The current Leifeng New Pagoda is built on the site of the old pagoda, retaining its pavilion-style structure before it was burned down and the style, design and size of the reconstruction in the early Southern Song Dynasty. The "Leifeng Sunset" that has disappeared for more than 70 years in West Lake has also been restored. Visitors climb up the Leifeng New Pagoda and stand on the five-story exterior platform. The beautiful scenery of West Lake and the prosperity of Hangzhou are all within the tourists' distant and near views. Looking around, the rippling West Lake, the beautiful and dignified Wangzhuang, the new scenic spots on the south line that are beginning to see their outlines, and the three islands in the center of the lake with lush greenery are all in sight.

The Leifeng Tower is 71.679 meters high and consists of three parts: the base, the tower body and the tower top. Among them, the tower body is 49.17 meters high, the tower top is 18.25 meters high, and the base below the horizon is 9.8 meters. From top to bottom, they are: the tower top, the heavenly palace, the fifth floor, the fourth floor, the third floor, the second floor, the dark floor, the bottom floor, the second floor of the base, and the bottom floor of the base. Each floor is covered with copper tiles, and copper brackets are set at the corners. Copper wind chimes are hung under the eaves, which are graceful and ancient. Each floor above the second floor of the tower body has a cantilevered platform, which is equipped with railings and forms an eaves corridor around the tower for tourists to climb the tower and enjoy the scenery.
