Beijing Normal University is a key university under the national 985, 211 and 111 projects. Formerly known as the Normal University of the Capital University founded in 1902, it is one of the earliest universities established in China today and the first normal university in Chinese history. It occupies a leading position among normal universities in China. The school is located outside Xinjiekou, Haidian District, Beijing.
