Jiaxing East Lake Scenic Area is a Jiangnan water town tourist resort integrating leisure, vacation, sports, culture and sightseeing. East Lake was formed in the crustal changes in the second year of Yongjian (127 AD) of Emperor Shun of the Eastern Han Dynasty. It is a lake in the city in the east of Pinghu City. The total area of the scenic spot is 1.6 square kilometers. The scenery around the lake is beautiful, there are many historical sites, and it is rich in natural and human resources. The East Lake Scenic Area is formed by the convergence of nine rivers. It was known as "Kowloon Harbor" in ancient times. It is divided into eight scenic areas. Pinghu East Lake Scenic Area screens open-air movies every Saturday night at the Panshan Xiaocui Scenic Area;
Every evening at the Panshan Xiaocui Scenic Area, a karaoke singing session is held at the Dongtian Shegu Stage from 18:30 to 21:00 Activity.
Best time to visit:
Suitable for all seasons, September is the best month. Every September, the East Lake Scenic Area will host the Watermelon Lantern Festival, Watermelon Lantern Show, Fireworks Party and other various artistic performances.

Donghu is located in the center of Pinghu City, with very convenient transportation.
Pinghu-Jiaxing: 6:30-18:30, every 15 minutes.

Pinghu-Haiyan: 6:00-17:20, every 20 minutes.
Pinghu-Shanghai: 5:30-17:30.

East Lake ticket price:
The park is open to the public free of charge. The fees for visiting the temple memorial hall are as follows:
Pagoda courtyard: 10 yuan/person;
Li Shutong Memorial Hall: 15 yuan/person;
Overview of the Nine Peaks Floor: 5 yuan/person.
