Pingyao Zhenguo Temple Travel Guide

Scenic spot introduction:

Zhenguo Temple was built in the Northern Han Dynasty during the Five Dynasties. It was originally called Jingcheng Temple and was renamed Zhenguo Temple in the 19th year of Jiajing reign of the Ming Dynasty. The temple is located in Haodong Village, 12 kilometers northeast of Pingyao County. It is divided into two courtyards, the front courtyard is the Tianwang Hall of the Mountain Gate and the second floor of bells and drums on the left and right. In the middle is the main hall with three rooms, also known as the Hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas. The Ksitigarbha Hall has five rooms each, with three Buddha halls built in the middle. What makes Zhenguo Temple different from other wooden buildings is that there is not a single nail in the whole temple. All the structures are made of wood and wood, which is a treasure of ancient Chinese architecture.

Attractions distribution:

The temple is divided into two courtyards, front and rear. In the front courtyard, there is the Tianwang Hall of the Mountain Gate and the left and right bell and drum floors. In the middle is the Hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas. In the backyard is the Guanyin Hall to the east and the Ksitigarbha Hall to the west, with five rooms each, and the Three Buddha Hall is built in the middle.
