Travel Tips
travelling guideline:
1. Porto is a famous "wine capital" and its wine is world-renowned. Tourists must not miss it. In particular, there is a street called Cais de Ribeira on the banks of the Douro River. The shops on both sides of the street are almost all hotels, bars and restaurants, and they are full of people almost every day.
2. The peak tourist season in Porto is from mid-June to the end of September. A series of festivals represented by "São João" are held during this period, when locals will go out to party, which is the best time to understand the folk customs.
3. Recommend the tourist tram on Line 1. The Porto transport recharge card (Andante) can be used on the metro, buses and trams. When taking the subway, bus, or tram, you must remember to swipe your card when getting on or off the bus, otherwise you will be fined 180-270 euros by the inspectors.
