Scenic spot introduction:
The Meng Jiangnu Temple in Shanhaiguan, Qinhuangdao is the product of the folk story "Meng Jiangnu Cries at the Great Wall" and was built to commemorate the protagonist Meng Jiangnu, one of the four major Chinese folk legends. The story of Meng Jiangnu crying at the Great Wall is one of the most widely circulated folk legends in my country. Her husband Fan Xiliang was recruited by the King of Wei to build the Great Wall and died of overwork and was buried under the Great Wall. Meng Jiangnu searched for her husband and cried to the Weihuichi Mountain section of the Great Wall. She moved heaven and earth and cried when the Great Wall collapsed, revealing her husband's bones. Savor it carefully here and appreciate the desolate state of mind of Meng Jiangnu who traveled thousands of miles to find her husband. It reflects the people's hatred of feudal tyranny and their desire and pursuit for a free and happy life. Although "The Best Strange Couple in the World" appears to be a play on words, it actually contains the philosophy of life and makes future generations have endless reveries. From it, we can see the profound heritage and connotation of Chinese culture.Attractions distribution:
Meng Jiangnu Temple is located on Fenghuang Mountain, 6.5 kilometers east of Shanhaiguan. The temple wall covers an area of 1.6 acres, and the protected area covers an area of 31.8 acres. The existing Meng Jiangnu Temple has an architectural style of the Ming Dynasty. In front of the temple, there are 108 pedestrian stone staircases built against the mountain. There are main attractions such as the mountain gate, bell tower, Meng Jiangnu Hall, Guanyin Hall, Wangfu Stone, Dressing Table, Zhenyi Pavilion, etc. As well as the stone carvings written by Emperor Qianlong and the murals of Journey to the West, etc. The Meng Jiangnu Garden built in the north of the temple is based on the legend of "Jiang Nu traveled thousands of miles to find her husband and cried down the Great Wall". There are 20 scenes including Jiang Nu's birth, sworn sworn vows, wearing cold clothes at night, farewell in the pavilion, ten thousand husbands building the city, and crying down the Great Wall. It makes people understand this touching love story more deeply.Scenic spot qualifications:
