Yansai Lake, named after its location in Yanshan Fortress, is the first artificial lake starting from the east of the Great Wall and is also known as Shihe Reservoir. It is located in a canyon 3.5 kilometers northwest of Shanhaiguan City, Hebei Province. The lake area is 4.5 square kilometers and the ecological environment is beautiful and elegant. For the convenience of sightseeing, it is recommended that you first take the cableway up the mountain, take the pulley at the top of the mountain to the lake, then take an environmentally friendly boat to view the lake and mountains, and finally follow the scenic road to Birdsong Forest → Squirrel Garden.

How to get there:
Shanhaiguan is only 17 kilometers away from Qinhuangdao. There are many bus services. You can take bus No. 6 directly from Beidaihe Railway Station to Qinhuangdao Railway Station. Shanhaiguan is 30 kilometers away from Beidaihe, and there are buses running between the two places.
There are buses or tourist buses going to various tourist attractions in Qinhuangdao City. The main buses that go between the scenic spots are No. 34, No. 21, No. 22, No. 23 and No. 24.
