Tiantai Mountain Scenic Area integrates natural landscapes and rich historical and cultural landscapes into one mountain, integrating sightseeing, vacation, and scientific research. It is located in Tiantai Mountain Town, Qionglai City, Chengdu, Sichuan Province, with a total area of 109 square kilometers and a top area of about 40 square kilometers. Tiantai Mountain was named Dongmeng Mountain in ancient times. During the ancient prehistoric period, when Dayu was passing through the Shu Kingdom to control floods, he chose this mountain as a platform to climb up to worship heaven, hence the name "Tiantai". Tiantai Mountain in Sichuan belongs to the Qionglai Mountains. The main peak, Yuxiao Peak, is 1,812 meters above sea level. It is famous for its "strange mountains, strange rocks, beautiful water and secluded forests". How to get there:
It is 130 kilometers from Chengdu to Qionglai to the scenic spot via Shuangliu and Xinjin; and 145 kilometers to Qionglai via Wenjiang, Chongzhou and Dayi. The former gets on the bus at Xinnanmen, Gaosuntang, etc., and the latter gets on the bus at Jinsha Bus Station. It can also be reached by taking a long-distance bus from Qingyang Palace or Chengbei Bus Station.
